Problem:
Gig Workers are commonly underserved by financial services due to their employment status as independent contractors.
They acquire more risks because they do not receive traditional employment protections.
Over 1/3rd of the Canadian Working Population falls under Gig-Working Economy
Gig-Workers find it hard to plan their long-term and short-term savings.
Gig-Workers find it hard to smoothen their income & live with financial stress.
Hypothesis:
Giving Gig-Workers the financial tools to become financially secure = Effective & Efficient

We found that most gig-workers do not have the financial freedom to come up with an unexpected bill costing even $320.

Gig-Workers who work in this economy are either students, immigrants or people looking to make extra cash while having another job.

Individuals working in the gig-economy overspend and want to reduce their current expenses
- Ideation:
There were many things that a solution could have but we decided these were the most pressing.
The solution should provide personalized benefits & insurances.
It has to be an app & web platform which can be accessed worldwide.
Gig-Workers must be given a tool to smoothen their income and improve their financial literacy on savings.
